VisiGap Inc. is a British Columbia company that provides one-time AI visibility audit reports for local service businesses. Our registered address is on file with the BC Registry. Questions about this policy can be directed to us via the contact form on our website.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use the VisiGap website or purchase an audit report, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. It applies to visigap.com and any subdomains.
VisiGap is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. We collect only the minimum information necessary to deliver the service you have paid for.
We collect two categories of information:
We do not collect sensitive personal information. We do not collect information about your clients, patients, or customers. We do not require access to your Google account, website backend, or any internal business systems.
The audit analysis draws exclusively on publicly available information — your business's presence in public search indexes, directory listings, and AI search tools. We do not access any non-public data source to produce your report. The business name and location you provide are used to identify your public profile and benchmark it against publicly visible competitor profiles in the same market.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or resale. We do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent. Purchasing an audit does not constitute consent to receive ongoing communications.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the business:
All service providers are contractually required to handle your information in accordance with applicable privacy law and only for the purposes we specify.
We retain your business contact details and report output for a maximum of 24 months from the date of purchase, in case you contact us with a question about your audit. After that period, records are deleted. Payment records are retained by Stripe in accordance with their own retention policy and applicable financial regulations.
Our website may use basic analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are visited and how long visitors stay. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
If you use a browser that blocks analytics scripts, the website functions normally. No functionality is gated behind cookie consent.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact form on our website. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold — including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you have concerns about how your information is stored, contact us via the contact form on our website.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to customers who have purchased within the preceding 12 months.
